The Community Outreach Analyst will coordinate/implement the day to day administrative and programmatic activities of the Center for Cancer Health Equity in the Rural community. This position will assist with community coalitions, research studies and grants including participant recruitment and the implementation of strategies to ensure recruitment matches participant needs; arranges and facilitates participant appointments; conduct community education, outreach, and dissemination activities to increase awareness of and participation in clinical trials and biospecimen research among and underserved communities in the rural area of Ohio; empower and encourage rural and underserved individuals to go to the doctor on a regular basis, obtain age-appropriate cancer health screenings, and adopt healthy lifestyles. Promote optimal use of the CCHE programs such as Mens Health Education Series (MHES) program, Walk by Faith, Ribbons of Faith, and others.This position will require the flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications For Hire: A bachelors degree in public health, education, or selected field with emphasis in Diversity Enhancement/Community Relations, familiarity with rural culture or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Qualified applicants will have demonstrated participation in a community leadership role, considerable experience in Human Relations and Public Relations. Experience in program planning and administration is desirable.
