We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PC Technician to join our client's team in supporting the construction of a new hospital. This role involves the setup and configuration of workstations, imaging PCs, and related hardware in a fast-paced, IT environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Responsibilities
Workstation Setup: Assemble and configure workstations according to hospital standards and specifications. Install operating systems, software applications, and peripherals. Configure network settings and connectivity. Test and troubleshoot hardware and software issues. PC Imaging: Create and maintain standardized PC images. Deploy images to new workstations efficiently. Troubleshoot image deployment issues. Hardware Installation: Install and configure network equipment, printers, and other peripherals. Maintain inventory of hardware and software. Coordinate with other technical teams for network connectivity and infrastructure. Cable Management: Ensure proper cable organization and labeling. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Equipment Transportation: Transport computer equipment, peripherals, and supplies between hospital facilities as needed. Maintain accurate records of equipment movement. Equipment Handling: Box and unbox computer equipment and peripherals. Lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software installations. Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions. Collaboration: Work closely with construction teams, IT staff, and end-users to ensure project success. Provide technical support and assistance as needed. Qualifications Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware and software. Experience with PC imaging and deployment. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on computer troubleshooting experience. Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and accuracy. Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation for transporting equipment between hospital facilities. High school diploma or GED equivalent
