RiskOne HR Consulting is seeking for a
Construction Quality Control Manager
responsible for managing and overseeing the quality control program on construction projects. This role ensures that all work meets the required quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations. The CQC Manager will work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and clients to implement quality control procedures, inspect work, and address any issues that may arise during construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Program Management:
Develop and implement a comprehensive quality control plan for construction projects.
Ensure that all construction work adheres to the project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
Maintain and update quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and certifications.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Inspections and Testing:
Conduct or oversee on-site inspections and testing of materials, workmanship, and installations.
Identify and document any non-conformities, deficiencies, or issues, and work with project teams to resolve them promptly.
Ensure that corrective actions are taken to address any quality issues identified during inspections.
Coordination with Project Teams:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that quality standards are understood and implemented throughout the construction process.
Participate in pre-construction meetings to review project quality requirements and establish quality control procedures.
Coordinate quality control activities with other team members, including safety officers, to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain detailed quality control records, including inspection logs, test results, and non-conformance reports.
Provide regular quality control reports to project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies as required.
Track and document any changes in project plans or specifications that affect quality requirements.
Compliance and Regulatory Standards:
Ensure that construction activities comply with all applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Stay updated on changes to construction codes, standards, and best practices, and adjust quality control procedures accordingly.
Ensure that all required certifications, permits, and approvals are obtained and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Experience: Ten years of experience in construction quality control, inspection, or project management roles. Five years of construction experience on vertical/military
Experience with government or federal construction projects, including knowledge of government regulations and reporting requirements.
EIT o PE License
Bilingual (English| Spanish)
Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
Proficiency in quality control practices and inspection techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address quality issues.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
