This position is remote. The schedule is M - F, 40 hours per week, flexible start time.
Major Responsibilities: Review/interpret federal, state, and managed care reimbursement rules and/or contract terms to model and calculate net revenue related to reimbursement of hospital services. Review and monitor contractual allowance calculations and variances in expected reimbursement. Identify origin of overpayments or underpayments or modeling discrepancies and perform routine root cause analysis to identify system and/or contract modeling errors. Liaison/Training - Provide ongoing support and tools for internal and external customers related to Advocate's hospital contracts. Education/Experience Required: Associates degree (or equivalent work experience) with 7+ years of progressive experience within a large hospital or integrated healthcare delivery system in revenue cycle /contract management/healthcare systems Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills Demonstrated, self-directed, results oriented approach to problem-solving Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships Ability to communicate effectively, including presentations to leadership Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to assist in training and education of other staff Ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with overtime as needed. Ability to work independently Ability to handle concurrent work Ability to meet demands of multiple customers.
