A growing company in Brooklyn is seeking a detail-oriented Controller/Bookkeeper to manage and oversee financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters. This role requires a high level of expertise in Excel and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities Include: Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. Invoicing and Payroll: Process invoices and payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements to ensure financial data accuracy. Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements, to provide insights into financial performance. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient cash flow management. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with budgeting and forecasting to support financial planning and decision-making. Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulations, maintaining the integrity of financial data. Ideal Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks is essential. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights. Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and record-keeping. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to financial challenges.
