At Freedom Village Residents have the freedom to choose from four dining venues, including indoor fine dining and al-fresco options, with menus created by our **award winning Executive Chef Hugo.** The Outdoor Garden Cafe and Bistro features grilled entrees cooked to order by our Chef and Cooks.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Set up the main line
Prepare sauces or gravies
Prepare and cook lunch for Freedom Cafe
Cook the soup of the day
Prepare the Chefs special
Prep for the next day
Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards while preparing food
Candidates must have understanding of overall food service production. Knowledge of state and federal regulations. Experience in quality food production and excellent dining service. Two (2) plus years food service experience in a restaurant, hospital or senior living retirement community setting.
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 6:30am to 1:00pm. Employment hours and days may vary from time to time in order to meet the needs of our residents, special events, and holidays
Salary: up to $16.00 per hour with experience.
*Position is eligible for a sign on bonus of $1,000. $500 payable after successfully completing 6 months of continued employment and $500 after successfully completing 12 months of continued employment.
*Offer of employment is contingent upon successful fingerprint clearance through Department of Justice, background check, physical exam, TB, drug screen and Covid-19 test. Freedom Village is an EOE.
