Cook - Full Time 8-Hour Evening Shift

Job Title: Cook

Job Summary:

The Cook performs under the supervision of the Clinical Dietician and Diet Aide. They are responsible for receiving, storing, preparing, and serving all menu items as assigned. The Cook works in a fast-paced, busy environment and must be able to follow strict food safety and sanitation standards, accommodating special dietary needs and restrictions as set by Pipeline Health's policies, procedures, and all governing agencies.

Education/Experience:
Experience in preparing meals for people with special dietary needs is a plus.
One (1) year of experience in a food service setting.
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.
A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with the team members who are recognized leaders within health care.

Licensure/Certifications:
State Issued Food Handlers Card, required.
