entry-level logistics coordinator
plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods from sourcing to final distribution. This position involves coordinating with clients and vendors to manage transportation needs, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate data records. The coordinator provides essential administrative support, handles day-to-day logistics tasks, and ensures data integrity within company systems. Responsibilities also include managing risks associated with freight shipments, responding to client inquiries, and training team members on shipping processes and best practices. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate daily with clients and vendors to manage all aspects of transportation needs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and vendor coordination.
Respond to client shipping and fulfillment inquiries, coordinating with freight vendors to ensure timely resolution.
Manage the Freight Helpdesk by addressing all inquiries promptly and effectively.
Plan, coordinate, and track the shipment of products according to customer requirements.
Monitor and adjust transportation schedules to meet client demands and minimize delays
Review freight invoices and reports for accuracy and completeness before approval.
Prepare and manipulate weekly freight data files for reporting purposes
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other documents as needed
Support the logistics team with any additional administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all logistics-related data within company systems
Maintain and update records of shipments, invoices, and other logistics documents.
Review and reconcile data discrepancies, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
Generate reports and analyze data to provide insights into logistics performance and opportunities for improvement.
Train and educate users on company shipping processes, best practices, and data management protocols.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline
· 1 years of international logistics experience preferred and supply chain management.
· Experience on managing all aspect of shipment cycle (planning, quoting and booking) using vendor systems
· Experience handling import and export processes of goods globally.
· Strong customer service skills
· Strong analytical thinker with problem solving skills and mathematical abilities.
· Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects
· Highly proficient with MS Office Software, high aptitude for MS Excel
· Strong attention to detail, highly proficient with data analysis, organizational.
· Problem-solving skills and project management proven experience
· Resourceful with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Fully Bilingual (English-Spanish) with demonstrated proficiency in writing and speaking.
