Job Overview

Under the direction of the Grievance & Appeals Manager, the Grievance & Appeals Coordinator is responsible for all administrative functions to support the Grievance & Appeals Department in accordance with established policies and procedures. Administrative functions include but are not limited to the intake, documentation, investigation, research and resolution of appeals and grievances presented by patients or their authorized representatives, contracted Health Plans, the Ombudsman office, providers, etc.

Minimum Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in a health related field preferred.

2. Minimum of 4 years' experience in a managed care or IPA setting required.

3. Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, Cal-Medi-Connect, Affordable Care Act, and Commercial lines of business.

4. Previous experience in a Member Services or Grievance & Appeals capacity identifying and resolving member complaints, grievances and appeals.

Compensation

$24.00 - $28.15 hourly
