This position is responsible for the management of all Operational capital across the Company's locations. The incumbent will be responsible for the development of the annual and three-year capital plans. Provides engineering support and expertise to the operations and maintenance teams as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the development of the annual and three-year capital plans by developing engineering and maintenance plans and process improvements, defining individual projects, assigning budgetary costs to projects, attending project support meetings and supporting other departments.Responsible for managing financial controls associated with capital projects and supporting operations and maintenance through project implementation.Develops and implements capital projects by developing and overseeing the project concept, developing theory and sequence of operation, determining equipment needed, negotiating with vendors, coordinating with personnel and preparing capital expenditure reports.Responsible for Operational capital management across the Company's locations.Responsible for timely communication, execution, and delivery within budget of capital projects.Responsible for developing and maintaining company engineering standards.Responsible for developing and maintaining company process improvement standards.Responsible for promoting and maintaining corporate sustainability.Education/Certifications: Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Experience: Must have at least seven years of experience in food manufacturing. Liquid batching processing preferred.Prefer experience in flour milling, dry mix manufacturing, fresh and frozen bakery and sweet good products.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to travel regularly to all facilities in North America. Up to 40% travel.Excellent communication, coaching, and Project Management skills.Detail oriented and organized.Proficient computer skills in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processes.Self-motivated, results-oriented, and excellent personal skills.Must have a hands-on work ethic along with the ability to think strategically about capital projects and the alignment with business objectives and strategy.Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisory responsibilities include monitoring the performance of the Corporate Engineering Team. These responsibilities include making decisions on staffing needs; disciplinary actions; development and evaluation of work objectives and their effectiveness; and realigning projects and associates' assignments as necessary.
