Counselor

Responsibilities ?Discuss the Cadet's history to identify situations that require the intervention of the counseling section.?Interview each Cadet individually to develop a personal profile.?Measure the skills and abilities of Cadets using scientifically established metrics.?Assists Cadets in their adaptation process during the Residential Phase.?Participate in crisis intervention for Cadets.?Encourage Cadets in the process of completing the Residential phase of the program.?Documents and stores confidential information collected during sessions and interventions by the counseling section.?Develops or participates in individual and group counseling sessions.?Support compliance with mental health professional appointments.?Provides crisis intervention training to staff.?Ensures cadets complete the Life Skills Component.?Enter data into Cadet's Tracker as required.Requisitos:Qualifications Must be certified and/or licensed to perform the skills of a Social Worker/Counelor by the State of Puerto Rico.Social Worker and/or Psychology preparation.
