Job Description Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Work location: Newberg, OR Compensation: $60 to $67 per hour Duties and Responsibilities Communicate with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure cooperation during the CT scan. Obtain relevant medical history, including any allergies or previous adverse reactions to contrast agents. Position patients correctly on the CT scanner table to obtain optimal images. Operate and control CT scanners and other related equipment to capture detailed images of the body's internal structures. Adjust scanning parameters based on the specific diagnostic requirements and the type of examination being performed. Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for both patients and staff. Monitor and ensure the quality of CT images, making adjustments as needed to achieve optimal clarity Perform routine quality control checks on CT equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability. Administer contrast agents intravenously when necessary for enhanced visualization of certain structures. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, procedures performed, and any contrast agents administered. Job Requirements Education Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology Experience 5 years of experience required, will accept 2yrs min depending on trauma experience. Experience with Inpatient, ER, Adult ICU IV Starts, PACS, Contrast. CT Procedure Experience Experience in abdomen, Pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, Musculoskeletal, CTAs. Licenses and Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ARRT-CT - Computed Tomography Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 1 year of hire date.
