Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative Position:
Communicate directly with local consumers to initiate and achieve customer acquisition and sales goals Develop and utilize knowledge of client products and services to provide solutions and excellent customer service to local communities Determine consumer needs by inquiring about their current experience and thoroughly discussing client products, services, and discounts Attend training sessions with other Verizon Customer Service Representatives and members of the management team to build knowledge of client operations, sales metrics, and outreach goals Navigate client-provided handheld technology to assist in customer service before, during, and after the sales process Qualifications for a Successful Customer Service Representative: High school diploma or equivalency required Associate's or two-year program degree is encouraged Experience in customer service, sales, marketing, community outreach, business, or leadership is preferred Reliability in time management and completion of daily tasks both individually and collaboratively with other Customer Service Representatives Ability to implement marketing and sales tactics when given appropriate training Appetite for learning and developing management skills to assist in office operations
