**POSITION SUMMARY**
The incumbent leads a team of customer service reps to monitor on hand inventory and responds to critical situations such as product shortages, rejects, delivery problems, and line shutdowns on a daily basis. He/she analyzes the releases using current production plan and customer inventory levels to ensure proper scheduling of the shop floor to supply customer demands and to communicate to the organization fluctuations in schedules and build rates. He/she reviews requirements, prices and enters orders, releases, changes, etc. by determining availability of raw material and/or finished material. This information is communicated to the production shop floor to maintain an adequate flow of products to the customer.
Incumbent supervises a team that receives and distributes information to the organization pertinent to changes in customer procedures and policies. He/she also communicates electronically on a daily basis with our customers using various Web based customer systems to determine the customer's requirements and answer shortage issues.
The incumbent has daily contact with internal leadership to advise the customers requirements and ascertain what products will be available. Using this information, he/she determines which method of transportation is acceptable to preclude shutting down a customer and determines if and when expedites are required.
**KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Monitor on hand inventory and respond to critical situations, (i.e. set-up expedited shipments, etc., to keep customers line supplied.)
* Lead the team to ensure proper scheduling of shop floor in order to supply customer demands as required and communicate these changes to the organization.
* Process OEM releases. Verify against hard copy that releases processed correctly.
* Provide information to the organization pertinent to changes in customer procedures and policies.
* Process and enter miscellaneous and industrial orders into the system on a timely basis.
* Work with Engineering, Finance, Sales and Operations to help resolve any customer related issues.
* Verify and enter price changes into the system.
* Enter and/or maintain new and established customers according to internal protocols
**JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QULIFICATIONS**
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)**
* Bachelor Degree in related discipline.
* 3-5 years experience in logistics, operations and/or SCM related field.
* Ability to develop employees and provide mentoring.
* SAP experience a plus
* Recognized expert with ability to train others
