Job Description Summary:
Responsible for providing accurate information relating to the practice of cytological screening. Examines microscopically all gynecologic cytology specimens. Evaluates and reviews all non-gynecological cytology specimens. Complies with all standards and requirements of all regulatory, certification and accrediting agencies as outlined in departmental policies.

Field of Study: chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science AND possess Certification as a CT(ASCP), SCAT(ASCP) or CT (CMIAC). OR a Bachelor of science degree in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science AND a graduate of a CAHEA approved school of Cytotechnology AND successfully pass a certifying examination within one year of employment.
