Reporting to the Manager of Quality Data Analytics, the Data Analyst, Quality Data Analytics (QDA) will oversee the analysis and reporting of data supporting Quality Initiatives in Health Services. The Data Analyst will help increase the use of data in clinical decision-making and improving data quality by identifying data gaps affecting Health Services Quality Initiatives including Quality Improvement.
The Quality Data Analytics (QDA) team works with teams from clinical staff to our ITS Department.

Salary: $85,000 to $95,000 annually
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Perform accurate data analysis, trending, and reporting. Resolve data quality issues affecting HEDIS performance and other Quality Initiatives.Validate business requirements for exchange of data between healthcare systems.Identify new ways to integrate existing data sources or reports from various internal or external partners supporting the programs managed by the Quality Data Analytics team.Develop reports using the Quality Reporter and Jiva applications.Ensure the integrity of data being reported and used is accurate and valid.Work with users and other partners to achieve mutually agreeable deliverables, timeframes, resources, and outcomes.Serve as liaison with Data Management, Business Analytics and other ITS teams for any changes or updates in data exchanges.Coordinate small projects following standardized project management methodologies.Coordinate materials for SFHP committees and meetings that have direct impact on the programs managed by the Quality Data Analytics team.WHAT YOU WILL BRING: Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business, Public Health, or other relevant areas or equivalent work experience.2 to 3 years of experience in health plan operations, health care clinical/data quality improvement, direct patient care, or other experience directly related to position responsibilities and knowledge.Experience with health care data sets affecting quality initiative and measures including HEDIS, Member, Provider, Claims, Encounter, Lab, Electronic Health Record (EHR), and Pharmacy data.Advanced proficiency in SQL including report development.Familiarity with managed care terminology, Medi-Cal and Medicare.Familiarity with technologies including Cotiviti Quality Reporter, QNXT, and Jiva.WHAT WE OFFER: Medical: You'll have a choice of medical plans, including options from Kaiser and Blue Shield of California, heavily subsidized by SFHP.Dental: You'll have a choice of a basic dental plan or an enhanced dental plan which includes orthodontic coverage.Vision: Employee vision care coverage is available through Vision Service Plan (VSP).Retirement – Employer-matched CalPERS Pension and 401(a) plans, 457 Plan.Time off – 23 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) and 13 paid holidays.Professional development: Opportunities for tuition reimbursement, professional license/membership.ABOUT SFHP: Established in 1997, San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) is an award-winning, managed care health plan whose mission is to provide affordable health care coverage to the underserved low and moderate-income residents in San Francisco County.
