We have an immediate opening for a full-time dental assistant. Basic requirements are fast, reliable, team player, and able to work overtime.
We're hiring a personable dental assistant to provide extraordinary customer service to our patients. Our office is brand new and patients love us!
Responsibilities include assisting our dental staff with examinations and procedures, obtaining dental records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring our patients leave our practice with a smile. Work hours:
Monday 9 am-6 pm Tuesday 10 am-7 pm Wednesday 9 am-6 pm Thursday 9 am-3 pm (alternate open with Saturday each week) Friday 9 am-6 pm Saturday 8 am-3 pm (alternate open with Thursday each week) Some overtime expected
After 1 year work and over 1000 hours/year will be offered pension plan, 401k matching. After probation period will offer 7 paid federal holiday PTO, additional PTO as bonus (TBD), and 5 paid sick days off. No health insurance offering at this time.
Responsibilities
•Walk patients through a good oral health care regime so they can maintain a healthy smile
•Make sure each patient has the most up-to-date and accurate dental records by recording their information after every visit
•Work with dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and procedures by assisting with dental instruments and assure the patients' mouths are comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist
•Provide postoperative instructions to patients so they are informed about how to care for their teeth and gums after procedures to prevent infection
•Get the patient area ready for any examinations or procedures by preparing equipment like x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials and sanitizing and laying out dental instruments
Qualifications
•Minimum 2 years dental experience
•Former work reference will be contacted
•Able to work overtime.
•Have a reliable transportation
•Ability to provide superb patient care and customer service
•Candidates must have graduated from an accredited dental assistance program with an associate's degree
•Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
•Basic data entry and computer skills
