Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygienist Friday only, Chinese speaking preferred. This is a Temporary position on Friday only till end of January but we may extend it to a permanent position. We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team! You'll complete initial patient screenings, conduct dental cleanings, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures. The hygienist is expected to take x-rays, set up, and clean up his or her own room. We have a high volume of Chinese-speaking patients so Chinese-speaking skill is a plus. Responsibilities: • Conduct initial screenings for patients to understand their oral health history • Give guidance to patients about how to have good dental care at home after undergoing an operation or procedure • Identify dental issues such as periodontitis, gingivitis, or cavities so they can be treated as soon as possible • Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease • Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patients' teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues Qualifications: • Associate's degree and certification in dental hygiene program required, higher levels of education are highly valued • Physical stamina to stand for up to 8 hours at a time • Superb customer service and communication skills • Possesses a state license to practice dental hygiene • At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene Compensation: $50 - $58 hourly
