Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygienist Friday only, Chinese speaking preferred.

This is a Temporary position on Friday only till end of January but we may extend it to a permanent position.

We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team! You'll complete initial patient screenings, conduct dental cleanings, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures. Job seekers should have incredible customer service skills and a passion for providing excellent dental services. The hygienist is expected to take x-rays, set up, and clean up his or her own room. We have a high volume of Chinese-speaking patients so Chinese-speaking skill is a plus.

Responsibilities

•Conduct initial screenings for patients to understand their oral health history
•Give guidance to patients about how to have good dental care at home after undergoing an operation or procedure
•Identify dental issues such as periodontitis, gingivitis, or cavities so they can be treated as soon as possible
•Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease
•Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patients' teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues

Qualifications

•Associate's degree and certification in dental hygiene program required, higher levels of education are highly valued
•Physical stamina to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
•Superb customer service and communication skills
•Possesses a state license to practice dental hygiene
•At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
