This Dialysis Technician will be responsible for: Assisting in setting up and disconnecting the dialysis equipment Monitoring and operating of dialysis equipment while in use Preparing the treatment spaces in between patients and assembles necessary supplies Monitoring patient vital signs during treatment, responding appropriately to visual and audible alarms and reports any unusual findings to the nurse Accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment including completion of Hemodialysis Treatment Flowsheet Reporting any significant information and or change in patient condition directly to the nurse Cleaning and disinfecting dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment and surrounding area between treatments, maintaining a clean and aseptic environment according to facility policy. Ensuring that all blood spills are immediately cleaned with appropriate disinfectant according to policy Assisting in maintenance of Dialysis equipment including monthly water testing. Testing and monitoring machine functions, including alarms, conductivity, and temperature Assisting in supply management within the Dialysis unit Performing clerical and other miscellaneous duties as assigned, (i.e. collects patient information, etc.) To qualify, you must have: A high school level of educational development or completion of GED The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations Meet necessary requirements of Ishihara's Color Blindness test Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) Current CPR Certification Schedule Information: 4 - 10-hour shifts, Monday-Saturday
