Digital Media Intern

Primary Function: The Digital Media & Marketing Coordinator will play an active role in the development of Alameda Boys & Girls Club online community. The intern will maintain and promote the Club's presence on various social media platforms and help create and publish content that is relevant to our alumni, donors, and community. They will regularly analyze and report on the activity on social media networks as well as the Club's website. 
Responsibilities Update all Alameda Boys & Girls Club social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) Responds to posts or comments to bring value to user's interactions with the Club. Posts updates, news and announcements in a timely manner using appropriate and interactive content.  Updates social media accounts with current and relevant photos, video, or other content from Club activities and events. Grows the Club online social networks by increasing fan base and interactions. Takes pictures and videos of events to be developed into content from the Club's website and social media accounts. Organizes and archives digital images and videos. Regularly research and report on online activity of model organizations for social media best practices. Uses Facebook Insights, Instagram Analytics, and LinkedIn Analytics to assess trends and activity on the Club's social media pages.  SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Represent the Club positively in the community Prioritize assignments Ability to work independently and monitor own performance objectives Team player  Knowledge of best practices in digital media Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
