We are looking for a Dinner Cook!
Pay Rate- $21.52 per hour
We are looking for a full-time cook, working on a rotating schedule of 4 days on, 2 days off
(4-on, 2-off means everyone works some weekends and everyone gets some weekends off)
Job Summary:
The Dinner Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality and delicious meals to our residents and guests. This individual will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to ensure that all meals are prepared and presented according to our company's standards. This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry located in Alameda, California. Shift hours are 10:00am-6:30pm
Compensation & Benefits:
As an individual contributor, the Dinner Cook will receive a competitive hourly wage of $21.52, paid biweekly. Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook all dinner menu items in a timely and efficient manner, following recipes and presentation guidelines provided by the company Maintain a clean and organized work area, including all cooking equipment and utensils Monitor food inventory and communicate any necessary restocking needs to the kitchen manager Ensure all food is stored, cooked, and served at the appropriate temperatures to maintain safety and quality Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain smooth and efficient operations during meal service Follow all food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and guests Provide exceptional customer service, responding to any special dietary requests or concerns Assist with menu planning and development, offering creative and innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience for our residents Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required, culinary or hospitality education preferred Must be 21years of age or older Minimum of 2 years experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting Knowledge of various culinary techniques and cooking styles Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds Current COVID-19 vaccination Routine COVID tests Fingerprint clearance from the FBI and Dept of Justice
