This job is essential to Bank operations and will be an onsite role.
Job Summary:
This position manages Cash Operations while serving as a key contributor in defining and implementing strategies to achieve Department and System high priority objectives. This role will help bolster the Cash management team and provide needed depth at the leadership level. The role will oversee all units within the operation and has significant responsibility for business performance improvement, technical and business project management work, customer support and vendor relationship management responsibilities. This position will lead multiple functional units by providing oversight of day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to custody controls, Cash policies, Bank and department policies and procedures and effective and timely responses to problems. This role provides leadership to operations management to ensure the Bank is meeting all cost, productivity, and quality targets through analysis and collaboration. It will participate in budget reviews and decisions and drive innovation while managing risk.
Principle Accountabilities:
Leads multiple functional units by providing oversight to day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to custody controls, Treasury policies, Bank and department policies and procedures and effective and timely responses to problems.
Establish and maintain high quality procedures to ensure they continue to meet our requirements and other business drivers.
Performance/Quality Management: Provides leadership to operations management to ensure we are meeting all cost, productivity, and quality targets through analysis and collaboration. Participate in budget reviews and decisions. Drives innovation while managing risk. Project and
Stakeholder Management: Assumes a leadership role in the Cash business by providing project leadership and support for local and System initiatives. This entails leading cross functional meetings, providing contextual leadership and maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders, such as FedCash Services, FedCash Technical Services, the Board, and key customers.
Talent Management: Hire, train, coach and develop a high performing work team. Develop business objectives and development plans that align with Bank and System objectives. Conduct performance reviews and communicate salary actions. Ensure meaningful reviews are timely administered across the operation. Provide ongoing coaching and development. Create an inclusive environment.
Training: Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, annual performance appraisals and consultation with supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision:
This position is responsible for directly supervising up to 10 management/support employees, and up to 50 total staff members.
Qualifications: ?
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a degree in business or related discipline, and a minimum of 10-15 years of related experience.
Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within operations management.
Strong knowledge required in project management methods and risk analysis.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically to develop and achieve long-term objectives. Recognizes the underlying issues in complex information and identifies relationships among issues to achieve excellence in analytical thinking and policy contributions.
Operational excellence in providing services and deliverables, meeting commitments, and attaining compelling business results.
Well-developed facilitative leadership abilities.
Strong relationship building skills and customer focus to establish and manage relationships with all stakeholders.
