This leadership position within the Actuarial and Analytics Solutions (AAS) department is responsible for overseeing the design and development of Plan related analytics and reporting. This work includes a variety of analytics to support various areas within the Actuarial, Medical Economics, and other financial reporting areas. Additionally, the leader in this position is responsible for overseeing advanced program measurements leveraging statistical analysis and developing/executing on predictive modeling use cases. This leader will contribute to the development of the overall financial data strategy and ensure the design and execution of data use cases to enable decision making and drive insights.
Developing strong and trusted relationships with cross-functional business partners spanning multiple layers of the organization from analyst to SVP is critical to the success of this position. We're looking for a leader to work closely with other Business Leaders, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers. In this visible and influential position, this leader will regularly present at the critical decision-making committees. This Director should be an experienced people leader in order to guide, mentor, and manage a team of analytic professionals.

Your Day-to-Day Leads the research, design, and implementation of data solutions to support current/future business needsDrive the design, building, and launching of new data models and data pipelinesManages the delivery of high impact dashboards and data visualizationsAnticipates and provides strategies/solutions to complex data problems or trendsProduces meaningful observations and recommendations through synthesizing data from internal and external sourcesEvaluates and designs new approaches and methodologies to solve business problems or improve analytical efficiencyUtilizes statistical techniques to execute on advanced measurements. This includes developing predictive modeling tools and/or focus on the application of the toolsDirects data projects with broad impact to the enterprise, delegating work, and providing appropriate levels of support and responsibility to employeesMaintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends; assesses the impact and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and development in current and future solutionsProvide leadership and coordination with other departmental leaders to ensure consistency and transparency in data trends, themes and findings, particularly cross the areas of medical economics, trend measurement, pricing, financial planning and informatics.Effectively communicate customized views of financial impacts and analysis to senior leadershipChallenge and motivate staff to reach their highest potential, foster the continuous professional development and career growth of a diverse workforce, coach and mentor future leaders, identify and champion high potential talent.

What You Bring: Deep and broad understanding of health care delivery system and health plan operations, including knowledge of Medical Economics, Trend Management, Pricing, Forecasting, Provider Payment Methodologies, and industry benchmarks.Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.Provide strong customer focus and ability to work effectively in matrix environment.Creative problem solver - able to assess problems, develop creative solutions and see solutions to completion.Ability to think strategically, ensure execution and influence othersProven ability to lead and manage a team in high performance environment.Familiarity of software for data analysis and modeling; specifically Python, Tableau, statistical software (R, SAS etc)Proficiency working with modern data & analytics technologies and solutions on cloud platform (AWS preferred)Familiarity with working in an Agile Environment and partnering closely with ITExperience with machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, data interpretation methodologies, and deploying Predictive Models Education/Relevant Experience: Minimum of eight years of health care experience in analysis, design, development and delivery of data solutionsDirect experience leading and managing staff required.BA/BS required; FSA, MBA, MPH or other advanced degree strongly preferred.

Salary Range: $163,890.00 - $200,310.00
The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
This job is also eligible for variable pay.
