MPI has two main product lines that are being transformed by automation. MPI is a leading firm in magnetic separators that are used to remove metal contaminates from bulk material handling processes. A primary example is food production. While food is being grown, harvested, transported, processed and packaged, metal contaminants get into the food stream and need to be removed. Our patented first to market product is called Intell-I-Mag ® - it tells the user that the magnet has picked up sufficient metal that the cleaning cycle needs to be scheduled. The second major market is specialized industrial material handling products. A primary example is a family of products for conveying parts or scrap from high volume metal stamping lines. The opportunity we foresee is adding IoT intelligence to these product lines.

Key Responsibilities Leadership: The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a diverse engineering team.Technical Leadership: Function as the primary technical leader within the leadership team, making critical technical decisions for the company.Project Management: Assign and direct projects to engineers, ensuring timely and efficient project completion.Engineering Systems: Develop and implement automated engineering systems, leveraging Inventor 3D CAD capabilities and integrating with Configure Price Quote (CPQ) Software for shop order documentation.Resource Management: Successfully manage internal and external resources, demonstrating a strong capacity to leverage external resources effectively.Technical Decision Making: Make informed technical business decisions, communicate them clearly with the leadership team, and guide the company in the right strategic direction.Budget Management: Oversee project budgets and ROI assessments, employing logical and data-driven approaches.Compliance and Quality: Develop and implement engineering best practices and standards to drive consistency across multiple platforms and required regulatory compliance.Internal Title: Director of New Product Development and Technical Services
