The RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Director of Global Payments to lead and execute our payments strategy. What You'll DoNewStore Payments Strategy: Act as the subject matter expert on global payments capabilities, requirements, and trends within NewStore.
Develop and implement a comprehensive global payments strategy that includes in-house payments, direct processor relationships, gateways, and alternative payment products.
Identify and pursue opportunities for payment innovations to align with NewStore's overall business objectives.
Explore and establish potential collaborations and innovations that support the strategic vision.
Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all entities in the payments ecosystem.
Function as the NewStore expert in customer interactions requiring deep payments expertise.
Effectively manage and resolve any issues, ensuring smooth and productive relationships.
Performance Management: Lead contract negotiations with vendors, securing favorable terms for NewStore.
Monitor and evaluate vendor performance to ensure compliance and high standards.
Collaborate with external entities to drive sales and achieve NewStore's demand generation targets, ensuring measurable results and continuous growth.
NewStore Product Development: Work closely with the product team to align product development with market trends and customer needs.
Ensure alignment of our go-to-market and business development activities with the evolving global payments strategy.
Market Insights: Stay updated on trends, innovations, and regulatory changes in the payments industry.
Assess the impact of these changes on NewStore's business and customers, providing strategic insights.
Maintain a deep understanding of the competition, market trends, and the changing operating and regulatory environment.
Your StoryExtensive Industry Experience:
10+ years of experience in the payments, embedded payments, and SaaS industry, with a strong track record in managing and growing payment relationships.
A strong understanding of the broader payment landscape, including processing, underwriting, risk management, KYC, fraud, and tax, is an asset.
Strategic Leadership:
Proven ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans that align with company goals and drive growth.
Negotiation Skills:
Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiations, with the ability to secure favorable terms and manage vendor performance effectively.
Analytical Acumen:
Strong analytical skills to evaluate industry trends, partner performance, and regulatory changes, providing actionable insights for the business.
