Overview: Our client, a leader in the architecture and engineering sector, is seeking an International Accounting Director to manage their global accounting operations and oversee international tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cash flow planning, financial modeling, and international tax issues, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities: Lead cash flow planning and management to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs. Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Prepare financial projections and budgets, and monitor performance against them. Oversee project maintenance and accounting to ensure accurate tracking of costs and revenues. Conduct tax planning and research to optimize tax strategies and ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations. Address international tax issues, including transfer pricing, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Oversee intercompany and consolidation accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting across all entities. Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and international tax regulations. Proven experience in cash flow planning, financial modeling, and forecasting. Expertise in financial projections and budgeting. Familiarity with project maintenance and accounting in the construction sector. Experience with intercompany and consolidation accounting. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the construction or engineering sector. Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
