We are searching for a Director of Product Management who is not only a strategic thinker but also a hands-on leader. As a coach-player, you will play a critical role in building and guiding the product management team while also directly contributing to product strategy, development, and execution. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of our innovative SaaS offerings while working closely with stakeholders to ensure our solutions effectively meet existing and future market needs.
This is a remote position open to candidates in the US. The Director of Product Management reports to the Chief Product & Technology Officer.
Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the product strategy in alignment with company goals and client needs. Define the vision and roadmap for our SaaS solutions.Team Coaching and Mentoring: Build, lead, mentor, and support a team of product managers, technical writers and designers. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.Hands-On Product Management: Directly contribute to product planning, feature definition, and prioritization. Engage in detailed requirements gathering and user story creation. Partner with and support engineering leaders and teams to ensure efficient, effective software development.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, training, professional services and customer success teams to gather insights and feedback, ensure product alignment and successful delivery. Clearly and proactively communicate product priorities and statuses.Client and Market Engagement: Act as a key liaison with government clients and industry stakeholders to gather feedback, understand market needs, and validate product features.Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data and analytics to inform product decisions, measure performance, and identify areas for improvement. Research customer needs and competitors for a comprehensive understanding of the market.Product Launches: Oversee product launches and go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful adoption and integration of new features and solutions.Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive innovation and keep our solutions ahead of the curve.Qualifications:8+ years proven experience as a product manager or director in a SaaS and/or B2G software environment, with a track record of successfully launching and managing complex products.Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team while being actively involved in day-to-day product management tasks.Track record of customer/user empathy and delivering software that addresses user pain points via an intuitive user experience.Excellent analytical skills with experience in using data to drive product decisions and improve performance.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and convey product vision effectively.Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies, including Jira, Agile/Scrum.Experience with land management, regulations, and compliance requirements preferred.Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Benefits:Group Medical, Dental, Vision and Life insurance401kUnlimited VacationPaid Sick Leave & HolidaysCompensation:$120k-$145k annual salarySalary may be adjusted based on experience and geographic locationAbout Avolve:Avolve is the global market leader in electronic plan review.
