Overview of the Role The Director of Sales is responsible for ensuring delivery of core business goals - delivering incremental sales and helping the team to foster trusting relationships that can be leveraged in the future. They are responsible for leading the sales team and ongoing processes at a regional level. This person will be the lead for ongoing strategic planning and communication. They must be skilled at establishing and maintaining relationships, problem solving and finding creative solutions for unique obstacles in the day-to-day. The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading a team of sales managers and must work closely with them to drive revenue, develop go-to-market strategies, and establish and meet individual performance goals.Location: Remote but must be local to Northern California or Pacific North WestSalary: $100,000 - $110,000 depending on years of experience and expertiseTravel Requirements: Up to 25% - Regional position; travel possibilities would include major industry shows, client meetings, team trainings, leadership trainings and travel to corporate officesWhat You'll Do at C.A. Fortune Effective at leading a team of Account Managers and Sales SupportFacilitate a transparent collaborative partnership with clients & internal cross-functional team membersResponsible for the implementation of CAF selling techniquesCoordinate with clients to develop and implement any applicable specific brand trainingParticipate in regular market interaction with team to understand the situation "on the ground" and provide active guidance and ongoing training, as necessaryEnsure team is trained on appropriate tools and technology, and that those tools and technology are being put to proper use.Communicate with leadership on a regular basis to help problem solve and ensure best practices are being sharedProvide direction to clients on the best way to package information that allows for the CAF team to understand and leverage the proper resources to execute respective responsibilitiesAct as the conduit of communication for all significant information flow with supervisors and the client teams, including regular communication with the client Director or RetailEnd Game AttainmentSkillfully maintain the existing sales portfolio, strive to establish and help the team to establish new customer relationships and seek out strategic partnershipsMonitor metrics, obtain insights on business execution, and proactively offer suggestions to both supervisors and clients on ways to improve the likelihood of goal attainmentEnsure that the team is motivated to achieve organizational and personal goalsWhat You Should Bring to the Table A demonstrated competency in multi-tasking and problem-solving with focus on meeting deadlinesStrong analytical and strategic thinker; can turn self-developed strategies/efficient processes into executionExtremely organized and detail-orientedDemonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience selling product direct to retailers and across multiple categories throughout the storeExperience working with both National and Regional distributorsExperience managing and planning trade spendAdvanced communications skills, ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in a concise manner and establish rapport quickly7+ years of experience in a sales function requiredExperience in a people leadership position requiredYou Will Stand Out if You Have Extensive experience working for or with a food & beverage broker/sales agency or consumer packaged goods16 days of PTO11 paid company holidays per year3 months fully paid parental leave (regardless of gender)Medical, dental, and visionPaid company life insurance401k with company matchSummer hours (half day Fridays from Memorial Day thru Labor Day)Work from home flexibilityCome As You Are C.A. is committed to making our company more inclusive.
