About the Role The Head of Sales Strategy & Operations will be a key leader in driving the growth and success of the global sales development and sales teams. We are looking for a strong leader who has proven experience building and scaling sales teams in a B2B SaaS environment that sells to small business, mid-market, and enterprise segments (companies between 150 - 50,000 employees). You should excel at building exceptional cross-functional relationships to achieve our desired outcomes to become a best-in-class sales organization and you enjoy the balance between developing a strategy and operationalizing it. You should have both leadership and hands-on experience related to a broad set of initiatives including, for example, putting growth strategies into practice; establishing segmentation and global expansion strategies; daily/weekly monthly reporting looking at leading and lagging indicators of success; quota setting; incentive plan design; sales career development; and driving initiatives to improve the performance of the business. You should have several years of experience implementing sales tech stack and driving adoption. You can find solutions to complex problems with high ambiguity. You have built successful strategy and operations teams with fast-growing companies and know how to scale these teams over time as the company grows.
This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ. You will Be the go-to person for the CRO and Sales leadership team that they can trust to develop strategy and operationalize it Set the vision and direction of the Sales Ops department, and make prioritization and resource allocation decisions Establish various new business and expansion growth strategies and be a trusted advisor in key company strategic discussions Manage weekly cadence of sales forecasting to ensure a high level of accuracy and pipeline quality Drive a significant portfolio of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives to improve the performance of demand generation, sales, and customer experience Coach and mentor other senior leaders across the team and company, helping them develop critical leadership skills Lead territory, quota, compensation, and spiff planning to drive best-in-class quota attainment and results Proactively analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization, and deliver actionable plans to drive growth and rep productivity Lead the development of and execution of the annual sales operating plan Proactively manage rules of engagement and define the sales process and methodology Build a strong, winning, and inclusive culture and lead and inspire a Sales Ops team to deliver exceptional results and further develop their careers You have 8-12+ years of experience in Strategy & Operations, supporting direct, indirect/overlay, and channel sales Passion for solving complex problems with the willingness to be hands-on with the team Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, determine insights, and develop programs to drive productivity and efficiencies Expert program management experience with a track record of delivering transformational results across a complex portfolio of projects Strong operational background, directly leading day-to-day business operations Strong organizational development, communication, and leadership skills Familiar with a variety of sales team structures (inside, field, channel), customer segments (small business, mid-market, and enterprise), and working in multiple geographies (North America, EMEA, ANZ & CAD) Flexibility, with the ability to adjust as needed, with a sense of urgency and a passion for new ideas Must have SaaS, Telephony, or High-Tech experience You are An exceptional writer and spoken communicator Highly organized & autonomous Comfortable and energized operating in a fast-moving organization Passionate about our product and working with Enterprise businesses Entrepreneurial and self-motivated Consultative with demonstrable experience Enthusiastic about learning and growing at Envoy Intellectually curious and ambitious You'll get A high degree of trust in your ideas and execution An opportunity to partner and collaborate with other talented people The ability to make an immediate impact in helping customers create a great workplace experience Support for your personal and professional growth Compensation description Envoy's compensation package includes market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, and great benefits. If you are located in San Francisco Bay Area, our expected cash compensation for this role is $196K- $225K (Annually).
