Job Summary

Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, develop, coordinate, and implement an efficient District student transportation system; schedule and provide work routes to school bus drivers; conduct behind-the-wheel and classroom training for bus drivers; plan, implement, and instruct safety programs for District bus drivers.

5. Copy of valid Class B - California Motor Vehicle Operator's License
6. Copy of School Bus Driver's Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol
7. Copy of valid Medical Certificate
8. Copy of valid California Driver Instructor's Certificate, certified by the California Department of Education
9. Copy of valid First Aid and CPR certificate
10. DMV H-6 Print out (within the last six months)
11. Two current letters of recommendation (preferably from a Supervisor dated within 12 months)

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school; training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above and three years of increasingly responsible experience as a school bus driver including one year of experience in a training or dispatcher capacity is highly desirable.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS:
Valid California Class B commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement/air brakes; current California School Bus Certificate; Medical Certificate; valid First Aid Certificate; California Driver Instructor's Certificate, certified by the California Department of Education.
