ITC Infotech is looking for an EDI Expert – Customer Transactions to join the US Team
Location: Lake Forest , IL / Remote – This role requires the candidate to be on premises during regular Business Hours. Job Overview: This role requires deep expertise in EDI standards, technologies, and best practices to ensure efficient and accurate electronic data exchanges between the organization and its trading partners. The EDI SME will serve as the primary point of contact for all EDI-related matters, driving the successful implementation, maintenance, and optimization of EDI solutions.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement EDI strategies and standards to support business operations and goals.Oversee the configuration, integration, and management of EDI systems and processes.Ensure EDI transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting both internal and external requirements.Act as the primary technical expert for EDI systems, including EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT), protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP), and software platforms.Troubleshoot and resolve complex EDI issues and errors, coordinating with internal IT teams and external trading partners.Provide guidance and support for EDI implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance.Lead or support EDI-related projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and process enhancements.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Overall 15+ years of experience of which 10 years in EDI systems, including hands-on experience with EDI standards, protocols, and software.Deep knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML.Experience in Customer EDI transactions (expertise on expertise on 850, 856, 810 transactions)Experience in integration b/w SAP and supply chain systems (WMS, TMS, CASS etc).Experience with Boomi as the EDI integration tools and platformsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex EDI issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Must have one or more of the certifications in EDICertification in EDI or related fields (e.g., EDI Professional Certification) Our Mission: ITC Infotech is a leading global technology services and solutions provider, led by Business and Technology Consulting.
