Ehs Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations to maintain a safe workplace environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and proper equipment usage
- Maintain records of incidents, injuries, and safety training activities
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
- Monitor and update safety policies in accordance with changes in regulations
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards
- Familiarity with EPA regulations related to environmental health and safety
- Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis for incidents
- Ability to fabricate solutions for safety hazards
- Certification in First Aid and CPR
- Understanding of Workers' Compensation law and processes
- Experience in Occupational Health programs
- Strong communication skills to effectively train employees on safety procedures
