EHS SPECIALIST – SAMPLING PROJECT

Job Description:
Perform chemical exposure monitoring trough a qualitative assessment in selected areas in which it is suspected or determine that exposures may be in excess of established limits or to measure the effectiveness of engineering controls.
These can include personal or area sampling.
The assessment will include the sampling strategy development, sample data and collection, and sample processing and analysis.
This exercise will be conducted following established procedures and good documentation practices using properly calibrated and maintained equipment and following plant safety and operational policies.
A report having monitoring data, analysis, and recommendations will be generated as the main project deliverables. Potential corrective actions could be identified in this report.
Sampling strategic plan will include:
Safety Training for new contractors
Meeting with customer and revision of previous sampling processes for the substance to be monitored
Sampling activities
Sampling results analysis
Report and Map development
Discussion of Industrial Hygiene Assessment Report with customer and closing meeting.
Comply with plant safety and operational policies.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Science; Master´s degree in Industrial Hygiene
Experience & Skills:
Over five (2) years of experience
Testing engineering control measures such ventilation systems or noise barriers to endure compliance with local and federal regulations
Chemical and noise monitoring surveys to determine employee exposure.
Chemical Risk Assessments for new or existing pharmaceutical ingredients or substances.
Statistical analysis and attend meetings.
Perform risk assessments for chemicals and noise.
Bilingual, can speak in public, and proactive.
Work Methodology:
Short project assignment of max. 2 weeks
Hybrid work (on-site for sampling and remote work for analysis and documentation)
