Job Description
Accountable for the development of business & marketing plans and assisting with regulatory strategies to enhance deployment of Electric Transportation (ET), stays abreast of ET technology and trends, challenges the status quo and continually looks for connections between the Company's existing plans, customer needs, market trends, technology attributes, and regulatory paradigms to add incremental value and drive our strategy around increased ET adoption in AEP's service territories Work with operating companies and service corporation experts to evaluate and determine appropriate strategies for ET based upon company characteristics, market insights, and customer segmentation. Develop ET customer solutions and associated business plans. Engage other internal subject matter experts to pre-screen potential ET projects prior to their advancement. Evaluate relative project economics across projects of various scale, locational benefit, technology attributes and performance characteristics. Continually assess ET market conditions and use this intelligence to support recommendations on customer solution and business plan development. Stay abreast of current technologies which could be deployed to provide additional value to the company, our customers and communities Work with regulatory team to identify existing recovery mechanisms that support business plans. Also, make recommendations to the regulatory and public policy teams that assist in getting the rules right and facilitating the business plans. Stay informed of current ET legislative and regulatory actions, including recovery mechanisms and rate plans, and bring lessons learned to customer solutions and company business plans. Identify and promote strategic procurement terms with third parties, and recommend terms to senior management as required. Prepare and conduct presentations, summaries, testimony and other communications necessary to support ongoing internal and external stakeholder outreach efforts.

Minimum Requirements
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant field of study.
Experience:
* A minimum of ten years of utility industry or applicable ET experience in an engineering, business development, regulatory, financial and/or business strategy role. Expert-level technical and operational knowledge of electric transportation, including experience with residential/workplace/public charging systems, is required.
