Job Summary: The Electrical Control Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our manufacturing and production processes. This role requires expertise in Allen Bradley PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system integration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industrial automation, electrical schematics, and control system architecture.
Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Develop and implement control systems, including PLC programming (Allen Bradley), HMI design, and SCADA systems to automate and optimize production processes.PLC Programming: Write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Allen Bradley software (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, etc.) to meet specific project requirements.System Integration: Integrate various control systems with existing equipment, ensuring seamless operation and communication between devices (sensors, actuators, drives, etc.).Electrical Design: Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other automation equipment.Project Management: Lead and manage control system projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with other departments.Safety and Compliance: Ensure all control systems are designed and implemented in compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E, IEC 61131-3) and company policies.Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of control systems, including programming logic, electrical schematics, and system configurations.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, including system upgrades, automation enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in control systems engineering with a focus on Allen Bradley PLCs.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC programming (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000).Experience with HMI and SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Wonderware, etc.).Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel design.Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).Experience with VFDs, motor control centers, and other industrial control devices.Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and in a team, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.Certifications: Relevant certifications in PLC programming, control systems, or industrial automation are a plus.Benefits: Competitive salary and performance-based bonusesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunities
