Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FPGA and electrical engineering, with proficiency in Python and experience in mechanical engineering. Responsibilities
Lead and support the electrical engineering team to improve the productivity and competitiveness of the company.
Plan, estimate, schedule and monitor assigned work and the work of assigned resources.
Developing single line diagrams to depict the electrical power system at a high level.
Performing electrical calculations for power and lighting systems.
Selecting electrical devices for power, lighting, and special systems.
Working with other disciplines to ensure electrical and special systems designs are fully coordinated.
Providing input into the electrical requirements of complex process and mechanical equipment.
Creating electrical and special systems design drawings from concept through detailed design.
Developing electrical construction specifications.
Follow projects after construction documents are issued and reviewing submittals, providing electrical design support, and making field visits to verify construction of electrical scope is proceeding per the intent of the design.
Directing activities of electrical CAD and Designer support staff.
Perform design functions including equipment selection, system sizing, load calculations, product specifications, and design layouts for electrical systems.
Writing reports and providing managers and clients with updates and possibly presentations.
Drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules.
Discusses and solves complex problems with departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.
Identify business opportunities that are consistent with the company's strategic plan for developing new business.
Assists in the identification of potential business partners for developing a successful proposal.
Participate in writing, editing, production, quality control, production and shipment of proposals.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Markets services to client and maintaining client relationships and contributing to discipline related content for proposals.
Developing electrical power concepts for new or renovated high tech facilities. Writing narratives that describe the electrical and special systems that may include user requirements specifications and sequences of operation.
Requirements/Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering. PE registration is required.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, industrial process, and utility infrastructure projects desired.
Experience with Industry standards required; cGMP and ISPE Guideline knowledge.
10 plus years of experience required, much of this preferably in a design and project management firm setting.
Understanding of or experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
Experience in energy efficient design and current sustainable design is desired.
Understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) required.
Ability to lead a project from an electrical design perspective and to direct the electrical design effort required
Significant experience with National Electric Code (NEC) and other industry standards required.
Skilled on typing; writing, reading and speaking fluent on English and Spanish.
Previous experience in collaboration with Project Managers and Clients for the delivery of projects.
