Electromechanical Service Technician

Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide technical support, maintenance, and repair services for our client food automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer service. This is a direct hire position based out of Lake Forest, IL and will involve travel;.

Pay: $35-40/hr

Key Responsibilities: Install, troubleshoot, and repair food automation equipment at customer sites. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance. Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively. Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address complex technical problems. Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service activities. Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in food automation equipment. Travel to customer locations as required to perform service duties. Travel 60 to 70% mostly domestic with International travel on occasion Qualifications Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role, preferably in the automation or food processing industry. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Strong customer service and communication skills.
