Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) - Critical Need Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 hours, 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience License: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (or complete within 6 months of hire) OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (within 6 months of hire) Must-Have: - ACLS certification- Proven experience in emergency room settings Job Description: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program- Provide high-quality care to patients in a critical emergency room setting- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and ability to work effectively under pressure- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient care- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop care plans- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed- Monitor and interpret vital signs and patient symptoms- Respond to emergency situations with effective triage and intervention- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records- Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field, CEN, TNCC, and knowledge of interpreting cardiac dysrhythmias. Note: This position does not require participation in a winter staffing plan.
