As a Network Engagement Specialist, you will serve as a central anchor, facilitating and nurturing partner relationships through regular in-person visits and exceptional, solution-oriented customer service. You will manage and coordinate all aspects of CFBNJ's interactions with partners, ensuring seamless integration of programs, initiatives and fostering collaborative efforts across all services provided.
Engagement at CFBNJ is pivotal, encompassing the cultivation and management of extensive relationships across our network of 800 partners. These partners, such as food pantries, soup kitchens, senior programs, and shelters, collaborate closely with us to combat hunger and poverty throughout New Jersey.
What you'll do in your role: Attend local and regional community events (both virtual and in-person) to advance CFBNJ's mission of combating hunger and food insecurity. Identify and onboard new partners, providing training and consistent engagement to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to effectively support their communities. Assist partners with product orders to ensure community food needs are met. Conduct regular inspections of network partner sites, including collecting records, and reporting. Organize and facilitate community luncheons for our partners. Work collaboratively across departments to provide comprehensive services. Implement key policies and procedures. Assist in the transition to a paperless operation. What you'll need to be successful in this role: A bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience with community/school partnerships, or 10 years of experience working with community/school partnerships. Exceptional experience in network engagement, compliance, and technical support. Comfort level with change and readiness to adapt to unforeseen circumstances. Outstanding ability to identify problems, recognize trends and solve challenges independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual a plus (Spanish, Creole and Bengali). Flexible work schedule required; a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
