Engineering Manager, Security

We are looking for a Security Engineering Manager to direct our security engineering team and ensure their success. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring our security policies & infrastructure are manifested in products and employee practices. You will build the foundation for how the team operates and delivers value to the rest of Anthropic.



Responsibilities: Build and maintain infrastructure related to hardening systems against attacks against frontier AI models Identify and assess systematic risk, and translate them into actionable tasks for the organization Shape policies and procedures to embed security into product design, infrastructure, and employee practices. Lead our small but growing security engineering team to successfully deliver on team goals Develop and track metrics to ensure security objectives are being met Represent the security engineering team and build credibility for Anthropic's security posture Collaborate with product, research, and infrastructure teams to integrate secure-by-default into their workflows and processes You may be a good fit if you: Have 15 years in the industry working on security, privacy, and/or engineering 4 years of management experience Have experience enforcing security policies in an organization Are great at communicating critical updates to organizational leaders Coordinated change management and company-wide announcements in previous roles Strong candidates may also: Have experience in all three areas of security, privacy, and engineering Have experience supporting medium or large tech organizations Care about AI safety risk scenarios Have driven a new security program from beginning to live Have 8 years of management experience Deadline to apply:None.
