Estimating Coordinator - ARB, Inc. Position Overview
The Estimating Coordinator role involves organizing and managing the flow of information and documentation, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that estimates are prepared accurately and on time. The Estimating Coordinator will work closely with project managers, estimators, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary data and maintain effective communication throughout the estimating process.
Job Responsibilities Assist in soliciting subcontractors and vendors, including confirming vendors and subcontractors meet both ARB and project specific criteria for prequalification. Develop and maintain subcontractor / vendor relationships for future and current bid opportunities. Research and contact new vendors, subcontractors, and material suppliers for proposals. Work with estimating team to create a comprehensive timeline that delineates critical milestones and deadlines. Conduct routine reviews and communicate vendor/subcontractor schedule information to the estimating / proposal team. Call and email subcontractors and vendors for quotes, qualifications, and other information. Review bid documents, specifications, and other project-related information, create bid packages, and distribute this information. Prepare bid instructions, bid forms, and bid scopes for subcontracts and vendors. Keep estimating information up-to-date and promptly relay new project-specific RFP information to subcontractors and vendors. Follow up with subcontractors / vendors confirming willingness to participate in the project pursuit. Receive, upload and maintain subcontractor / vendor proposals to database. Provide quantity take-offs and assist senior estimators in cost estimating. Ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the estimating process. Identifying issues and developing solutions to ensure smooth bid preparation and submission. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an estimating or administrative role within the construction industry Must have document control experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Bluebeam Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Compensation/Benefits Annual salary would be in the range of $75 - 85k commensurate with education, skills and experience On-site, full-time Paid Company Holidays Paid PTO Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, Short Term/Long Term Disability, 401K with matching contribution Company Overview
