Job Description
As the Estimator you will: Be responsible for reviewing and understanding all aspects of construction documents for Corporate Interiors, Lab/Life Science, and/or Restaurant/Retail markets Act as a liaison between client and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and budgets are provided Perform takeoffs and develop conceptual budgets utilizing past data Develop, communicate, and understand the company's pricing strategy Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential/ current clients and subcontractors Utilize Construction scheduling software to detail milestones in the pre-construction schedule Obtain the best pricing for materials and bids from subcontracts Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontracts, etc Maintain the Estimating Coordinator to publish RFPs to subcontractor Serve as a mentor to Estimating Coordinator(s) MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The successful Estimator will have: Experience in construction estimating in corporate interiors and restaurant/retail Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields Self motivated, able to work independently as well as alongside a team Ability to strategize and manage the client's exposure to Boston markets Able to be successful in a fast-paced environment Ability to work under tight time lines to hit project deadlines Experience with Excel, Planswift, Procore, On Screen, and/or Bluebeam Strong communication and interpersonal skills What's on Offer
