Job Title: Executive Assistant, Basketball Operations

Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Executive Assistant, Basketball Operations is to provide direct assistance to the VP, Basketball Operations & General Manager (VPBO) and Director, Player Performance & Health (DPPH) to make sure they utilize their time most effectively. This role is a trusted partner assuming any and all administrative duties for the VPBO and DPPH, such as managing access to the VPBO and DDPH, and maintaining and modifying their schedules. The Executive Assistant, Basketball Operations is responsible for ensuring the VPBO and DDPH are made aware of issues that need immediate attention. This position handles confidential business matters and must maintain smooth operations of the office.
Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities**):
•Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly calendar for VPBO and DPPH
oSchedule meetings and/or appearances internally and externally
oCoordinate one-to-one meetings, departmental staff meetings, speaking engagements, etc.
oEnsure VPBO and DPPH respond to all meeting requests
oRemind VPBO and DPPH of upcoming appointments for the day/week
oIf VPBO and DPPH are unable to attend an upcoming appointment, ensure the necessary parties are notified
•Route all calls appropriately, or take and deliver messages
•Review, distribute, and respond (when appropriate) to incoming physical mail
•Write, format, and proofread letters/emails/documents, as needed
•Serve as notetaker for key meetings, at the request of the VPBO and DPPH
•Provide support for the VPBO, DPPH, and other basketball operations needs at the arena on home gamedays
•Make travel arrangements including flight, hotel and car service for VPBO and DPPH adhering to all personal specifications
•Facilitate electronic file management, maintaining all documents, filing, and scanning according to record retention policy
•Complete expense reports and oversee fulfillment for VPBO and DPPH at the end of each trip
•Order meals and supply beverages for meetings and events
•Provide other essential administrative functions and duties, as assigned
**Responsibilities subject to change based on organizational needs and direction from management. Education (Required/Preferred): Bachelor's degree required
Previous experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of work experience required. Experience working in entertainment, with high profile celebrities and clients, VIPs, and professional athletes preferred.
Technology Capabilities: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Mac/iOS

•Extreme attention to detail
•Highly organized, motivated and able to prioritize and multi-task under the pressure of deadlines

•Ability to represent the office of the VP, Basketball Operations and Director, Player Performance & Health, and the Lakers organization
•Demonstrated ability to act with the utmost discretion and professionalism
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Location: El Segundo (offices M-F), Los Angeles (Crypto.com Arena), and other occasional off-site events
The pay range for this role is $85,000 to $100,00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications
