Specialties Nursing and Philanthropy About the Role The Company is seeking an Executive Director to provide visionary and strategic leadership in partnership with the CEO and the Foundation's Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will be responsible for enterprise leadership, including collaboration with senior leaders and support of the organization's governance. A major focus of the role is fundraising, with an emphasis on developing and executing a comprehensive plan to diversify and increase funding to support the Foundation's mission. The Executive Director will also be tasked with foundation leadership and management, crafting a creative vision for programs, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of ten years of senior-level experience in nonprofit development, with a proven track record in fundraising. They must be a passionate individual with the ability to inspire and engage, and possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
The Executive Director will be expected to exemplify the values of the organization, fostering an environment of inclusion, and sustaining a positive work environment. They should have a strong commitment to the mission of the Foundation and the nursing profession, as well as the ability to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of the organization. Professional skills should include experience in prospect research, donor relations, and stewardship, as well as success in nonprofit operations and staff management.
