About the Role The Company is in need of an Executive Director with a strong background in the property and casualty auto insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in the field, with a focus on automobile products, including personal injury protection and no-fault policies. This executive leadership role demands a professional with a deep understanding of the industry, particularly in the context of Michigan's state-specific complexities and legislative history. The Executive Director will be the key figure in setting the association's strategy, ensuring compliance with state laws, and managing all operational aspects, including financial, human resources, and administrative matters.

As the highest-ranking position, the Executive Director will work closely with the board of directors and standing committees to develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic plans. The role also involves being the primary ambassador for the organization, engaging with the public, press, legislature, and other stakeholders. Therefore, the successful candidate must possess solid business acumen, diplomacy, tact, and wisdom. Responsibilities include formulating the annual budget, overseeing financial systems, and acting as a spokesperson for the association. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and experience in presenting to the legislature, media, and the public in a spokesperson capacity is essential.
