The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership, patient care, and strategic expansion of the center. This role involves close collaboration with the Chair of Psychiatry, Chief Nursing Officer, and other executives to ensure the delivery of excellent, innovative care that meets the highest standards. Key responsibilities include directing and managing all aspects of behavioral health treatment programming, overseeing a large budget and staff, and designing procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. The Executive Director will also be involved in local and state-wide behavioral health task force meetings, as well as in recruitment and fostering a culture of safety, respect, and diversity.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a behavioral health license in Massachusetts or the ability to obtain one, along with extensive experience in operations and financial leadership at an inpatient psychiatric facility. The role requires a deep familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements and the ability to navigate the complexity of a large academic medical center.
