About the Role The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Translational Immunology to lead the strategic efforts in advancing the development of cellular therapies for immune-mediated diseases. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the creation and application of translational objectives, ensuring seamless collaboration between research and development teams, and establishing strong target-to-disease connections. A key aspect of the role is to build and lead a cross-functional team that can identify new therapeutic indications and effectively differentiate the company's cellular therapeutics. The Executive Director will also be tasked with driving the translational understanding of clinical trial data and must have a proven track record in delivering high-risk programs, as well as experience in budget management, and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Applicants for the Executive Director of Translational Immunology position at the company should hold an advanced degree (Ph.D. or MD) in a related scientific field or an equivalent medical qualification. The role requires expertise in all stages of the drug development process, particularly in the context of immune-mediated disease, and a strong background in cellular and molecular technologies. Experience in biomarker efforts, IND filing, and a deep understanding of immune-mediated disease pathogenesis are essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate technical information into business language, be a visionary leader with excellent problem-solving abilities, and possess an entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to lead a motivated team. Cross-functional team leadership experience and a history of establishing successful external partnerships in the field of immune-mediated diseases are also highly valued.
