They are looking for 2 Family Enhancement Workers for their Park Forest location. These workers are critical in supporting families by connecting them to essential community services and resources. Through the CWS Referral Program, this position aims to reduce risk and improve family functioning by providing targeted interventions and support.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct Weekly Assessments: Establish and maintain weekly in-person contact with families to assess service needs and develop appropriate action plans. Facilitate Referrals: Coordinate community-based referrals by engaging with collateral contacts, service providers, and other relevant entities to ensure families receive the necessary services. Communication: Maintain consistent verbal communication with families to provide ongoing support and guidance. Documentation: Secure all necessary consent forms for releasing information under program guidelines. Confidentiality: Adhere strictly to IDCFS rules and procedures related to confidentiality. Transportation Support: Provide transportation to families for essential appointments, such as medical visits, WIC, and other necessary services, when required. Supervision and Consultation: Participate in regular consultation and supervision sessions with your supervisor to review progress and address the needs of each assigned family. Household Management: Assist families with budgeting and provide homemaker support, including help with cleaning and organizing. Parenting Support: Offer parent coaching and connect families with resources related to parenting skills and strategies. Training and Development: Attend all required training sessions and maintain up-to-date knowledge in relevant areas. Crisis Intervention: Be available to assist families during crises outside regular business hours when necessary. Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the program's overall mission. Qualifications: Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. Some college coursework is preferred. Experience: Prior experience working with or providing services to individuals, children, and families is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in trauma, mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, and serving multi-stressed families. Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability and willingness to work with culturally diverse populations are essential, with preference for those with relevant experience. Knowledge: Familiarity with community resources available for individuals, children, and families, as well as knowledge of infant, child, and adolescent development, is preferred. Openness to reflective practice and a capacity for introspection are highly valued. Certification: Must possess or be eligible to obtain Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS) Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP) certification by completing the necessary IDCFS training and examinations.
