Field Technician

Position: Field Technician
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Location: Work on-site in Paris, IL
Duration: 6 month+ contract engagement (W2)
Overview: Apex Systems is assisting a manufacturing client in the hiring of a Desktop Support Technician. We are seeking candidates who possess a strong knowledge of Windows OS troubleshooting, Apple support protocols, mobile device support (iOS/Android), remote software tools, basic networking configurations, and print management software. Responsibilities also include the installation and maintenance of various software packages and operating systems for both Mac and PC, as well as upgrading and installation of computer and printer hardware.
Responsibilities: 2+ years experience in the support of computer systems (Windows and Macintosh). Experience with AV systems, SCCM, Citrix, scripting, and group policy recommended.Install/support both Mac and PC operating systems. (Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server, Windows 7, Windows 10, Mac OS10)Support end user with problems arising from software packagesSupport end user with problems arising from computer hardwareConfigure and support both PC and Mac computersProvide instruction to end user on use of software packagesProvide periodical help desk service to campus end usersPrioritize troubleshooting tickets from end usersProvide administration in Active DirectoryProvide basic networking troubleshooting
